A classification system was used by the Nazis in the concentration camps to persecute those they considered inferior. Migrants and refugees were forced to wear blue triangles to identify themselves. 

The Blue Triangle Solidarity campaign follows in the path of LGBTQ+ activists who reclaimed the pink triangle as a powerful symbol of defiance.
