EXPORTING COVID AND HATE UPDATE – 21 APRIL 2020
17, YES 17, ICE AIR FLIGHTS WE WITNESSED TODAY (below)
>We are in the midst of a gruesome pandemic and most of us have sacrificed our social freedoms for ourselves, families, friends, and strangers.
>At the same time, ICE Air flits AROUND the country and AROUND the world seeding COVID in detention centers and in countries far less equipped to provide adequate medical treatment to innocent citizens. Most of these countries have severe travel and social restrictions to protect themselves. Only Guatemala has placed temporary holds on ICE Air spreaders for a few days at a time. Others have been coerced into accepting ICE Air.
>Below are Today’s ICE Air flights. Each stop is an event to seed and spread COVID. Without the Guatemala suspension there would have most likely been 1 – 2 flights there too. Below the flight listing are just a few examples illustrating examples of the tragic impacts.

IMPACTS
Ø 32,000 people were in ICE custody as of 11 April.
Ø 253 detainees, as reported by ICE, and 32 employees in detention centers (excludes 3rd party staff which is significant) have tested positive. Highly likely many more if testing were more extensive.
Ø 50 deportees to Guatemala arrived with COVID after ICE process to supposedly ensure deportees are virus-free. Guatemala has for a second time suspended receiving flights. No doubt there are more since not all have been tested and no doubt the same is true in other receiving countries.
Ø 350 detainees in Krome center in FL have likely been in contact with COVID as reported today in the Miami Times. And probably more based on ICE practice of “cohorting” which is grouping those that may have been in contact all together which results in accelerating the spread. No doubt this same situation is true in most if not all large centers.
Note: ICE Air does not disclose their flights. Flight listing gleaned from public flight information, knowledge of detention center locations, air charter carriers, and historic patterns. In rare cases, there may be a flight we miss, or include in error.
