Wall of Nations: Mexico, Guatemala and the New Southern Border

US border policy is focused on turning away migrants and increasing reliance on Mexico and Guatemala to contain and repress new flows. This includes a new initiative to address persistent root causes of mass migration in Mexico and Central America. What is the impact of these policies on migrants, especially on vulnerable populations such as indigenous communities? Camilo Perez Bustillo will discuss the Wall of Nations with special guests Leticia Calderon Chelius of the Instituto Mora in Mexico, and founder of Migrantólogos; and Grecia Ortíz, a Guatemalan journalist with La Hora Voz del Migrante.
